Calling all animal lovers! This week, we’ll make jumbo monarch butterflies from Mexico, create ancient Chinese dragon collages, and colorful upcycled sea urchins found around the globe. We’ll celebrate Children’s Day in Japan by making traditional carp fish streamers, learn about and make good luck Pucara bulls from Peru, recreate South African San rock art depicting animals that roamed the African continent thousands of years ago, and more! We’ll paint, splatter, and draw, meet new friends, and have loads of fun discovering amazing animals from all around our cool world!

We’ll make kanji and origami while learning about kindness in Japan, re-create the South African neighborhood that produced two Nobel Peace Prize recipients, follow the Beatles British Invasion of the US and paint “Flower Power” guitars, create beautiful Indian elephant art based on a proverb teaching tolerance, and more!

Oh là là! Join us for a magnifique week exploring France through art. Our “tour” begins in Paris, where we’ll create clay gargoyles from the Notre-Dame cathedral, learn to draw the Eiffel Tower, visit the Louvre and re-create its most famous painting, the Mona Lisa by Leonardo da Vinci. Next, we head south to Grasse, the perfume capital of the world to create our own French perfumes! We’ll “travel” with the Montgolfier brothers to Versailles to witness the first “manned” hot air balloons and make our own beautifully decorated papier-mâché versions . We’ll make clay pâtisserie, petite French shaving cream cakes and more!
